Fig, Prosciutto & Goat Cheese Appetizer

If you haven’t tried prosciutto and figs together, get ready to fall in love!! 

The flavors all work together perfectly!  You get crunch from the toasted bread, sweet from the figs, salty from the prosciutto, and creamy from the goat cheese. It truly is a match made in heaven!

They have everything you need in a snack and all the poise of a great appetizer.

You can serve them on small plates for a sophisticated starter or even on a beautiful platter on a buffet table for a larger crowd. 

They are so simple to prepare all you need is 10 minutes! Brush some baguette slices with olive oil and toast them. Sprinkle each toast with some fresh cracked pepper. Add a few slices of prosciutto, topped with crumbled goat cheese and some fresh sliced figs on a plate with 2-4 baguette slices on each plate and voila you have an elegant appetizer that everyone will love!

Description

These Fig, Prosciutto and Goat Cheese Appetizers have everything you need in a snack and all the poise of a great starter!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 baguette, sliced
  • 2  3-ounce packs of sliced prosciutto
  • 1  6-ounce container goat cheese crumbles
  • 2 containers of fresh figs
  • olive oil
  • Freshly cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice 1 baguette into 1/2 slices. 
  2. Brush both sides with olive oil and toast until lightly browned. 
  3. Remove bread from oven and sprinkle fresh cracked pepper on top. 
  4. Place 3 slices of prosciutto on each plate. Top with crumbled goat cheese and 2-3 cut figs. Add 2-4 slices of toast to each plate and serve. 

Notes

Serve it with some fresh arugula for a peppery taste and a heartier snack.
