‘Jarcuterie’ Is by far the cutest cheese board trend! It’s everything you love about charcuterie boards, bundled up in one convenient package! They’re beautiful, delicious and basically the perfect finger food for any social gathering.
What exactly is ‘Jarcuterie’?
It’s basically everything you already know about charcuterie packaged into a convenient, portable container.
Really the only thing you DEFINITELY need is a jar or container of some sort to pack all your goodies into one place. Other than that, you can mix and match food items to your heart’s content just like any other snack board.
I used 4-ounce mason jars and began layering mine with nuts and chocolate in the very bottom of the jar. This will take up some space and is a nice filler (and snack) for the bottom of the jar.
Next, I add in a few grapes. I added some cubed pieces of cheese to some fancy toothpicks. I also skewered fresh salami and cornichons onto some regular toothpicks, and added those. Artisan crackers, bruschettini and cheese slices are layered into the back of the jar to show height.
Lastly, I topped them off with some fresh fruit. I used blackberries, but you can use blueberries, strawberries, raspberries or even dried fruit.
An individual charcuterie idea that comes in cute little mason jars! They are so simple to put together and I love that you can customize them to fit your guests tastes and dietary restrictions as well!
You can store these individual charcuterie jars in the fridge for up 6 hours before serving. I love a good make-ahead recipe, don’t you?!
