Chickpeas or “kadala” as we call it in Sinhalese, is a very common dish in Sri-Lanka. I love to have it as a snack, but it would also be great as a salad topper, side dish with some rice or in a buddha bowl.
They are a great healthy snack option and exceptionally tasty all spiced up. They arenaturally gluten-free and a good source of fiber and protein.
All you need is a can of chickpeas (garbanzo beans), a large onion, fresh coconut and some spices.
