Shamila Sobers.com Turns One!

Today marks one year of Shamila Sobers.com. It’s been one year since I welcomed all of you into parts of my home, my life, and my family. It’s been all things amazing, stressful, intense and crazy. It’s one of those birthdays that causes you to stop and reflect.

The first word that comes to my mind in reflection is gratitude. I am SO thankful to each of you who have followed me on this incredible journey. Your comments, friendship, and support have lifted me in so many ways. I believe that we are the happiest when we share our talents and passions with others. Thank you for allowing me to share mine with you!

I want to share with you a little more of the personal side of the story behind Shamila Sobers.com.

It was six years in the making and truly was a labor of love. I would speak often to my husband and friends about my passion for design and creating a home that is livable and fashionable, for setting tables that make your family and friends feel loved and special, for sharing recipes, party themes and hosting tips. They always encouraged me to DO something about sharing what I love. So, a little over a year ago, with the help of my husband, parents and incredible web designer, I started down a path I never dreamed I’d tread. The road of a blogger. To finally have a place where I can share all the things I love feels so amazing!

Thank you for joining me on this journey! I hope you find inspiration here. That has always been my goal for Shamila Sobers.com. As we move onward, I look forward to more opportunities to create and build in year 2.
